2 hrs either side of low tide you can access the hot volcanic springs at Hot Water Beach. Dig yourself a spa pool at the beach. Simply grab a couple of spade from the house and walk down to the beach. It only takes 5 Min.
New Chums is a stunning beach around 40 Min away from Hot Water Beach. Drive to Whangapoua then park at the south end of the village, walk around the point and you will get to a stunning and remote beach.

Donut Island (Whenuakura Island) is a small island off Whangamata beach with a cave inside. Simply hire a couple kayaks (Surf and SUP Whangamata) and paddle out. It only takes around 20 Min and can be done guided or non-guided. The cave is stunning!

Donut Island (Whenuakura Island) is a small island off Whangamata beach with a cave inside. Simply hire a couple kayaks (Surf and SUP Whangamata) and paddle out. It only takes around 20 Min and can be done guided or non-guided. The cave is stunning!
Cathedral Cove is located in Hahei only 5 Min. drive from Hot Water Beach. Drive up Grange Road and park your car on the top of the hill which comes at a cost. You can also park the car at Hahei Beach which is free. From the top carpark you walk down to Cathedral Cove around 30 Min. From the beach it will take 40 Min. The walk is well maintained so you wont need walking boots however take some water and your bathing suit it is an absolute stunning beach.
