Mark's is very pricey (although delicious) but their happy hour is the best in town. They offer some luxurious cocktails and small bites at a fraction of the price of the regular menu. I believe it's from 5-7 but I always call and make sure.

This is a favorite of mine, everything I've ever tried here is very tasty. Bartenders are top notch.

Absolutely delicious food, Blue Gill is one of my favorite restaurants of all time. They have a kind of modernized southern-style cuisine and a huge selection of bourbons and tequilas. They make amazing seafood that is always cooked to perfection. Very good service as well.

One of our newest breweries in town, C&G is located in the old Gainesville ice house. They make all their beer with water from the original well. It's a neat place and there's usually a food truck or two there.

Nice trails and picnic spots. Word of caution - pay attention to the hours of operation, they will close the gate with your car still inside.

If you love antiquing, take a drive to historic downtown Micanopy. It's packed with interesting antique shops and I always find something when I go. There's a few nice lunch spots too. Places typically don't open until 10 or 11 in the morning, so don't go early!
