Go traditional! Try Bohemian cuisine :)
Havelská Kuruna is a very popular traditional Czech dining hall. They open at 10:00 and the last meal you can get maybe at 19:40. Consider going there either before 11:30 or after 14:00, otherwise, you will get stuck in long queues. It is really popular, especially among Polish tourists! Bohemian cuisine is famous for the following dishes: kulajda (soup), moravský vrabec, and svíčková. And they have also great Ukrainian borshch!

In the basement of our building. Mention there that you are "from Oleg" and you may get a free shot of a traditional Czech spirit. They have also good beer "Kozel" and "svíčková". I do not know anybody who would dare to say they did not like it.

Neighborhoods

These are the must-see quarters in walkable distance (except for Zizkov)
In the middle ages, this quarter was inhabited by the royal servants and the king himself. This is one of the most guarded and most popular areas to visit. The key government institutions and embassies are to be found here. However, here, you will find fewer opportunities to find a good meal compared to the opposite side of the Vltava river. If you still want to find a nice cafe/restaurant, try to find somethnig closer to Kampa island.

Zizkov is especially popular among students. You will find lots of pubs and entertainment for a better price than in the very city center. Consider visiting Zizkov TV Tower! Great view :)
