Lovely location on the Oneida Narrows. Natural therapeutic hot spring pools and a family pool. Places to picnic and hike. Little bit of a drive but totally worth it!

Beautiful HUGE lake with lots of activities, some nice beaches and 2 caves to explore. I recommend that you travel to Bear Lake on the north route through Preston, ID, and return the south route and back through Logan UT. Beautiful scenery and some nice stops along the way!

Beautiful HUGE lake with lots of activities, some nice beaches and 2 caves to explore. I recommend that you travel to Bear Lake on the north route through Preston, ID, and return the south route and back through Logan UT. Beautiful scenery and some nice stops along the way!
Malad Summit is a great place to hike and see some really beautiful scenery! Park near the campground then hike in along the stream. Lots of options for difficulty and distance. Just north of Malad.

Logan, UT is about 45 minutes from us. Lots of good food and great hiking and biking. Historic town with one of the oldest Temples. Utah State is located here also.

We have some pretty great talent in Malad. The playhouse is owned by the Iron Door Arts Council. Plays, movies, and other fun events. Just ask me if you are interested. I sit on the board of directors and can let you know if we have something happening during your stay!

Welsh Festival & Art Walk
Usually held the last weekend in June. HIstory, artists, presentations at the Tabernacle, local crafts, Taste of Wales, and Historic tours. Activities in Malad and Samaria on Friday and Saturday. I can send you the link to the schedule if you are interested!

Malad Hometown 4th of July Celebration
We take this seriously! We have a group of crazy cats driving a cannon around town and shooting it off starting at 6 am on the 4th (last year, they stopped right in front of our house for a shot! Yikes).
July 4th Fun Run at 6 am, Pancake Breakfast 6:30-9, Parade at 10 am, Food vendors in the park 11-2, Shoot-Out in the Park between the 'Sheriff" and "Black Bart" at 11:30 am. Fireworks at @ 10 am. Pretty good display not far from us.
