Ok. This is tricky. There is no land access by water and no water access by land. Boat in to swim or head over to the City of Crystal River Building (123 NW Hwy 19) and ride the trolley (you have to buy a ticket) to the refuge to walk in. The only parking on the refuge is for handicap vehicles. Open Daily 8:30-4:30. 123 NW Hwy 19

Rent a float and...float..super beautiful spring run.... or... my favorite day is to take my kayak (you can rent one around there) to "Blue Run of Dunnellon Park" launch my kayak, kayak "up" the river and swim or quickly paddle back. There is also a really nice paved hiking trail here

This is where you rent a kayak or launch your boat or kayak on the beautiful Chassahowitzka River! Ask for a map of the Springs on the river. 17 miles. Stop by "Wallace's at the Greenhouse" for a veggie wrap before or to sit down for lunch after, this would be a really great day. Once you book your stay, book a charter! As time gets closer to your vacation, your ideal date is less likely to be available. Tip: Everything is less busy during weekdays, especially the water!
