This is a drive. It's almost to St. Augustine. The drive down A1A is beautiful. It is on the intracoastal waterway and most of the seating is outside on a sometimes covered deck. On a beautiful day there is nothing better than lounging on their deck watching the boats go by. They are open for dinner most nights but only on the weekends for lunch.

Drive up to Mayport, eat at Safe Harbor or Singletons (another DD & D), take the ferry across the St. Johns river, visit Little Talbot Island. The beach there is beautiful. If you walk to the left you will see drift wood sculptures and natural dunes and not a lot of people. You can continue to drive to Amelia Island, which offers shops and restaurants.
