Very safe lagoon for kids. Water is crystal clear, calm and warm. You can find fish swimming around, octopus hiding in the rocks, different type of shell and if you lucky you can spot few star fish.

Amazing place for walking in the countryside, bike riding (they have bike hire), exploring empty beaches and seeing unusual wildlife - quokka ... you may even see some dolphins. There are a couple of cafes on the island too.
Take a boat from Fremantle, not from Perth city ... from Fremantle it's only 25 mins or so, whereas from Perth it's much longer and quite a boring boat trip!

Amazing place for walking in the countryside, bike riding (they have bike hire), exploring empty beaches and seeing unusual wildlife - quokka ... you may even see some dolphins. There are a couple of cafes on the island too.
Take a boat from Fremantle, not from Perth city ... from Fremantle it's only 25 mins or so, whereas from Perth it's much longer and quite a boring boat trip!
Yanchep National Park is beautiful - so much wildlife and LOTS of kangaroos and kookaburras!

Really fantastic place for families, especially those with young children. They have all sorts of baby animals such as alpacas, donkeys, ponies goats, sheep, cows, pigs, ducks, geese & turkeys - many of which the kids can stoke.
It makes for a wonderful day out (or just pop in for a couple of hours) for families with young kids.
