Monkey Valley Resort's rustic thatch and wood restaurant is set in the tree tops. It has a wonderful, SE wind free deck which is great to relax on and watch the sunset. It looks over a beautiful Milkwood forest and the stunning Noordhoek beach. Good organic and free range (where possible) food - great Vegetarian dishes, sea food, pizzas (the best around locally), steaks, Malay curries, hamburgers etc. Large fireplaces in winter! Baboon Bush bar. Live music most Saturday afternoons. Open 7am - 12pm. Kitchen closes 10pm. KIDS JUNGLE GYM PLAYGROUND.

The best Cape Town beach, in our view! Its a stunningly beautiful, 8km long stretch of white sand and aqua or moody blue ocean, overlooked by a magical, ancient Milkwood forest and the iconic Chapmans Peak Mountain and drive. The 'hoek', or corner, is a delightful place to sun bathe or picnic and to watch the surfers tube and the spectacular sunsets from the beautiful granite boulder 'grand stand'. The beach is a natural paradise that its always changing, it has a seasonal winter lagoon that brings in flocks of Flamingos, Avocets and Arctic Turns. Whale and Dolphin sightings in season are a delight, as is the rare sightings of the Black Eagles, Otters and endangered Oyster Catcher birds.
