This is the biggest pet shop store in Zagreb, you can find it on three locations, but this is the closest to the apartment!

This is the closest farmers' market, where you can buy fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy products, meat, fish, bread etc. It is not as vibrant and colourful as the Dolac market in the city centre, but it is still worth visiting, especially if you are staying longer, care about what you eat and don't want to eat fruits & veg from the supermarkets :)

Barčev trgThis is the closest farmers' market, where you can buy fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy products, meat, fish, bread etc. It is not as vibrant and colourful as the Dolac market in the city centre, but it is still worth visiting, especially if you are staying longer, care about what you eat and don't want to eat fruits & veg from the supermarkets :)

This is the closest pharmacist/drugstore (closed Sunday), and it is located just in front of my building, in an octogonal building called Oktogon.

Jarun Lake is a retreat from city life, and it is still relatively close to the city centre. 250 hectares of man-made lakes and beaches await you for swimming, sunbathing and enjoying water sports. Apart from that, here you can jog, ride a bike, row, walk a dog (on a leash), play with your children, barbecue, and even ride horses at the nearby horse riding place.
Take note: it is very popular in the summer and all the beaches and bars are full of people, so if you are not really a people person, Jarun may not be the place for you.

This is the very heart of the city. All the main sightseeing point are in the vicinity of this square, including the main train station, which you can reach in about 20 minutes by bus from the bus station in front of the building.
