This bike trail is paved and you can join it about a half block away if yo go south on Fern or Rose Street. From there you can ride through downtown all the way to Sutton's Bay or the other way into the country. It also connects to other trails like the Boardman Lake Trail

Many people love the local wineries out on old mission peninsula which you access by going north on Garfield street. This winery is only about ten minutes away and has a nice location but there are many more like Chateau Chantal which is just a bit further north
