It's the Arch...go see it! If you've never been, it's definitely a must-see. Whether standing beneath it to look up and marvel at it's size or taking a ride up to the top and looking over Missouri and Illinois, it's a great experience. If you like to jog or walk, it's definitely close enough to visit without a vehicle. Otherwise, grab a cab or Uber and check it out.

A huge and beautiful botanical garden, nestled within the city limits. There is an admission fee but there are lots of different gardens to see and trails to walk. My favorite is the peaceful Japanese garden and my daughter loves feeding the fish in the koi pond.

You can climb on things and slide down slides and ride on things and go in tunnels, behind walls, from floor to floor. It's truly an amazing place...one of St. Louis' not-so-hidden gems!

A truly amazing museum with collections from all over the globe. Art from ancient civilizations to the masters past and present, modern art, textiles, furniture, antiquities and so much more. And, admission is absolutely free! Some special exhibits cost extra but the bulk of the museum tour won't cost you a dime.
And...spend some time outside the museum to see Art Hill and the amazing views of Forest Park. It's right next to the (also free) St. Louis Zoo.
