Fantastic museum built into one of the largest dams on the Columbia River It's totally free and covers a lot of ground... local history, native american culture, geology, electricity, and how the dams fit into everything. It's totally awesome for families and a good rainy day activity. The drive down to Wenatchee is really pretty too!

It's totally awesome for families and a good rainy day activity. The drive down to Wenatchee is really pretty too!

This is a fantastic family trail... it's almost flat and takes around an hour to walk. You hike over a raging gorge, along the river, through the woods... it's really a nice way to experience the mountains without too much effort

This is one of the premier hikes in the area. It's about a halfday trip and fairly strenuous. Leave early and have a nice picnic up at the lake, then come back to town to relax and have a celebratory beer!

Go learn all about salmon and the local river habitat... then go walk on the (flat) trails all around the property and look for deer and ducks and other animals in the forest and the river.

A great little park to go for a mountain escape. A little beach for the kids, an island to go pddle around, beautiful scenery.
Be sure to bring your discover pass!
It can get really windy in the afternoons, so if you want to paddleboard I recommend going in the morning. Weekends can be crazy up there too, lots of people.
