The Medrasa Ben Youssef (Koranic School) is one of the most important and popular historical sites in Marrakech. Recently renovated and reopened after 4 years, it is just a 5-minute walk from Maison 28. We recommend that you get there early-at 9:30-when they first open to avoid the crowds. Splurge on a $$$ but most delicious cup of freshly poured coffee and delicious nibbles in this famous coffee restaurant located in the restored 18th century palace of the Glaoui (the Moroccan governor during the French occupation. Besides the coffee, you can enjoy the exquisite mosaic zellige tile and carved wood throughout the patio areas. It really is worth it!
