Excellent food a must go . It is In the City of Yankeetown. Terrific dining riverfront views. Very scenic city with some beautiful houses on the Withalacoochi River. Has town events on some weekends. 45 min drive.

A very colonial type setting in Cross City FL approx 20 min drive.. The Hotal and Restaurant has rooms that reflect the old South, if you like the old tubs with feet and a very fine restaurant. This site was the first hotel for the logging executives when the industry in this area was booming.

Springs along the Suwanee River.
Bring your snorkels and be aware the crystal clear springs along the Suwanee are is 72 degrees all year long. Look down to what you would think is 5'-10' down, go under and amazingly it is 15'-30' down in the spring itself. Hope you're not afraid of heights.
