This gorgeous beach on stunning Kalamalka Lake is only a 10 minute drive from Vita. Long known as one of the Okanagan's best beaches, it features broad sandy shores with a pier. With an eclectic cafe on on end and a beach pub called Alexander's on the other you won't have for to go for food!

The Rail Trail is a beautiful multi-use trail that runs from Kal Beach in Vernon to Tugboat Beach on Lake Okanagan in Kelowna. Large Sections run beside Kalamalka Lake and Woods Lake before heading into Kelowna where it eventually terminates on Like Okanagan. You can start the trail only 10 minutes away at Kal Beach, or drive to Kekuli Bay Provincial Park and head north or South from there. Bike or walk this trail in either direction from Kekuli Bay for stunning vistas of the Okanagan Valley and Lake Kalamaka!

There is also a great selection of gourmet food items and snacks in their shop to help you build a fun tasting experience at home.
If you like pioneer history this is a great place to visit. Go check out one of the early ranches in the valley preserved in it's original state. There's lots to see and do as you wander the grounds.

The city of Vernon lies to the north, as does access to Kalamalka Lake's amazing beaches and parks. There are many walking and cycling trails nearby as well as a 9 hole disc golf course just 3 minutes away,

Handy Items to Have
If you plan on using the lake then bringing all your beach stuff is a must! We recommend beach mats or towels, beach chairs, sun shelter, and anything else to help you enjoy your time by the water.
Please note that due to limited storage all sporting equipment should remain in or attached to your vehicle. There are bike racks for use in the parking lot. Please bring a sturdy lock and use at your own risk.
