If you are downtown on a hot day and looking for a sweet treat this is our favorite authentic Hawaiian shaved ice spot :) it is near Deschutes Brewery and Powells books so it is convenient for sight seeing.

This is an iconic place. Easily the most popular brewery in Oregon. Also Sanoe works there so if you visit ask if you can be seated in her section she will be sure you are well taken care of :)

This is an incredible high end speakeasy cocktail lounge affiliated with Kann, a well known Michelin star haitian restaurant here in portland. At the cocktail bar you can get many of the same foods as they share a kitchen with Kaan but you won't have to wait 6 months for a reservation. Arrive early there is known to be a line and the cocktails while pricy are such a wonderful treat. This place is an experience.

This Garden is phenomenal and free and a portland treasure. We are known for our roses and are called the city of roses for a reason :)

This is the largest naturepark in east portland and has beautiful cedar groves, horse trails and at the top you can see 10 different mountains on a clear day. Wonderful for hiking or walking and is considered easy to moderate

There are many food truck "pods" around the city but the 2 most popular ones closest to us are Cartlandia and Core PDX. Both are excellent.
