Visit the famous Maggie Beers for the ultimate farm experience at Nuriootpa. Tastings, cooking demonstrations, cooking school and restaurant are well worth the drive.

Sightseeing
The tram goes all the way to the Botanical Gardens. Entry is free. Take a stroll through the pathways and allow 1-1/2 hours to explore trees 160 years old, the various pavilions, the Bicentennial Conservatory, Amazon Waterlily Pavilion or the rose garden. Lunch at the kiosk under the shade of the oak tree, dinner at the restaurant on Friday or Saturday, but be sure to book.

Walk one block to the corner of Third Avenue and Augusta Street for a large park, children’s playground, bbq and tennis courts. Or cross the tramline outside my house to ride your bike on the other side along the Mike Turtur Bikeway all the way to the city.

From Glenelg Jetty you can turn left (south) and walk 5.5km all the way along the beach to Kingston Park. This pathway is a paved/boardwalk the whole way.

Walk two blocks to the tram stop towards Jetty Road. Catch the tram on this side to the city and the other side for free will take you right down to the beach.
