Just a 3 mile drive up Monument Road from our house, this hiking is beautiful. Originally the Southern Terminus for the AT, there are 3 different trails and some great history. Awesome views and dog friendly!

Fainting Goat is a local favorite. Featuring live music on the weekends, a summer sunset series, and lots of space to bring a picnic, this winery is only 10 minutes from the house. Grab a picnic basket and bring your kids and dogs. The wines are good and the atmosphere is a lot of fun. And hey, there are goats!

Shop before you arrive
The closest grocery store to us is on 515, about 25 minutes away, so it's best to shop before you arrive. That way if you want to hole up and stay on the mountain, you're covered.
