Avinor's radar tower, also called Pyttane with a paved road, is suitable for prams. At the top you can see Øygarden, Askøy and Meland in the west, and Flesland and Bergen West in the east. Fun for toddlers to watch the planes take off and land.

Bryggen (World Heritage Site) is Bergen's most popular attractions. Here you will find houses that are 1000 years old. It was at Bryggen that the Hanseatic League had their seat and controlled trade northward. Hidden behind the iconic facade of Bryggen is a secret world of small shops, galleries and studios, Ønskebrønnen, jewelery design, knitting, photography, books, cozy cafes and fine restaurants.

Ulriken (643 masl) is the highest of Bergen's seven mountains. At the top you have a fantastic view of Bergen and the area with sea, skerries, fjords and mountains. There are stairs of natural stone that go all the way up the top, or other hiking trails. But you can also take the Ulriksbanen (gondolas). On some nice days you can try paragliding from the top. Otherwise you can find Skyscraper Restaurant which serves dining experiences based on local and short-distance ingredients.

Fløyen is one of the city's most popular tourist attractions. The mountain is located just above the center of Bergen and is one of the seven mountains in Bergen. You can either take the path up, but I like to walk up and down (with or without a pram), a trip that takes about 1 ½ hours. You walk between big trees, along a gravel road, and it's like walking in a big park. To get to the road up to Fløyen, take the stairs up behind the Fløybanen and up to Skansen fire station. There is a large playground at the top, as well as the Fløistuen café which is open Monday - Sunday and the Skomakerstuen on weekends. Here you can buy hot and cold drinks such as coffee, tea, soft drinks, small snacks, ice cream, etc. Canoeing: Experience the quiet Skomakerdiket in beautiful surroundings in the summer. Skomakerstuen offers free canoe rental every day from 25 June to 14 August.

St. Mary's Church is located behind Bryggen in Bergen, and is both the city's oldest church and Bergen's oldest preserved building. The church was built in the 12th century, most likely between 1130 and 1170. The church has for a long time also borne the name of the German Church, when from 1408 to 1766 it was used by the German merchants at Bryggen. Right up until 1906, services were held in German in St. Mary's Church. St. Mary's Church has a magnificent inventory, which also makes the church a point of interest and a tourist magnet. The church contains, among other things, a gold-gilded altarpiece, a pulpit from the Baroque period, as well as other church art from various periods. Today, the church plays a central role in the city's life as both a church, a cultural monument and a concert venue.

The Hanseatic Museum is located at Bryggen. Here you can go to learn more about the Hanseatic period, the important time in Bergen's history. The Hanseatic period started in the 12th century, when the Viking Age was over, and it became less dangerous to travel to various places in Northern Europe. The Hanseatic League traveled around and traded with people and cities outside the German Empire. Bergen was perfectly placed as a station for transshipment of dried fish from Nordland. Thus, Bergen became the northernmost outpost of the Hanseatic League until 1754, when it was the end of the last Hanseatic merchant at Bryggen. The museum is open every day from 11am to 3pm. Every Saturday and Sunday there is a guided tour in Norwegian and English included in the entrance ticket.

Fisketorget in Bergen has a charming location right in the center between the fjord and the mountains. It has existed since the 13th century and since then has been one of the most important places for trade between fishermen, farmers and the city's inhabitants. Seafood, fruit and vegetables are sold here. There are also several restaurants serving a wide variety of seafood. Mathallen is located in the same building as the Tourist Information and is the part of Fisketorget that is indoors and is open all year, while the outdoor Fisketorget is open in summer and opens for the season 1 May
