Simple menu, excellent food if you like shrimp, affordable, and in a location of new shops and restaurants on South Maine - close to the downtown area. I love the butter garlic shrimp basket! The patio is nice also.

Restaurant on South Maine - close to the downtown area. Simple menu with variety of choices - food is great and they have a nice patio area. I love their rice blueberry pancakes or French toast - they host brunch on the weekends. Their salads during the week are awesome also.

Historical Mexican Restaurant close to the Stockyard. Beautiful outdoor patio. Good margaritas and authentic Tex-Mex food. Last I knew they only took cash for payment.

A local favorite place for true Texas BBQ. The ribs and/or the brisket is usually my favorite. This is also very close to the house. If you like BBQ and want to try other BBQ in the area, Risky's, Cousins, and Hard 8s are all good places to try.

On the corner of 7th street in Fort Worth - a great street that leads to the Trinity River and into the heart of downtown. Recommend checking out some of the surrounding shops and restaurants on 7th street as time permits.

If Football is in season, recommend catching a home game. The campus is really pretty and the stadium is nice. Not too far from downtown and there are free shuttles you can catch to take you there so not to worry about parking. Taking an uber there and back would be another inexpensive and efficient method if you did not want to look for a place to park.
