I'm a hiker so I really recommend getting out there and enjoying the park I put a hiking guide book in the cabin.
some of the more popular Trails can get really crowded so I recommend either going at a early or late time or just using a less popular Trail than Laurel Falls or the chimneys. Ramsay Cascade is awesome. Strenuous and worth it.

this is a close access to the park and historic buildings, beautiful streams and several trails. Gets pretty busy though. Trailhead parking can be scarce
