• Cambridge township is a great town, plenty of boutique shops, cafes and restaurants. Highly recommend restuarants in town - Paddock, Alpino (Italian), Onyx, Koi (Modern Indian) and Hanoi Boy (Asian), Good George, Joes Garage, just to name a few. Town is open on Saturday mornings 10-1ish. Cafes are typically open 6 to 7 days a week. There is a Farmers Market every Saturday morning, 9.30 to 12 in the town square.
• Supermarkets in Cambridge are – New World, Countdown and Fresh Choice. Wholly Cow is a great butcher in town.

Cafe on our road. About a 10-20 minute walk, or drive/bike there. They aren’t open reliably but if they are, it’s a great spot for a coffee and scone or lunch (typically open Saturday & Sundays 10-3pm phone first 0800 743 321). There is also a Kayak & Paddle Board rental place there, 027 275 8724

The Boatshed Karapiro
21 Amber LnCafe on our road. About a 10-20 minute walk, or drive/bike there. Sightseeing

Great for Mountain biking - drive further south you can find the start of the Waikato River Trail, this is a little more challenging, but a lovely scenic trail with a Café part way round. www: Waikatorivertrails.co.nz

Our cabin is on Lake Karapiro, its a well respected venue for Rowing and many other water sport activities including, boat racing, skiing, Canoeing and dragon boat racing
