I have eaten so many cakes from this place while I was living in Pau that they are responsible for at least 3kg extra that I carry. Amazing cakes! If you have a sweet tooth, this is a place to go. I have never tried a cake that did not taste deliciously and looked so impeccable. Truly here you find desserts art. 5 minutes walk from the apartment, if you use back entrance, it is even less! @jumoandco

1h30min drive from centre of Pau, town by the west coast called Hendaye not to be missed. Do an easy hike along the Sentier du Littoral, park near Chateau d’Abbadie and start your walk to see amazing views from the cliffs. Then drive down to the city, surf or swim at the beach or simply take a walk along the beach. Day trip from Pau is sufficient to see this beautiful coastal town.

Drinks and snacks are also sold at the beach. Head towards La chambre d’amour to arrive to free public parking and the spot from where you can start your walk. Promenade is sveral kilometers long. Truly amazing place. A day trip to Anglet from Pau is sufficient to see this beautiful place.

Yes Biatrritz is a day trip from Pau! Drive for 1h30mins and enter surfers paradise. Good cafes and bars, nice restaurants. Enjoy!

Cycling
Do you like to cycle? Kilometers after kilometers of great cycling track along the river of Pau is available. Search for track v81. You can actually cycle from Pau to Lourdes and back using v81. Beautiful scenes along the river, plenty of spots for a picnic. My usual cycling route from the apartment was towards the beautiful restaurant called Au Bord de l’Eau and from there it was just cycling along the river. You can rent a bicycle easily for a very cheap price like 1EUR just look for Idelis sign, it is at the boulevard. The only issue is that you need an Idelis card to rent the bicycle so cheaply. You can get that card at IDELIS office in Pau very quickly.

Gave de Pau
Do you like to cycle? Kilometers after kilometers of great cycling track along the river of Pau is available. Search for track v81. You can actually cycle from Pau to Lourdes and back using v81.
