You can find parking in different towns but right from your tent site it is approximately 1 mile away. you can head south towards Ellsworth or north towards downeast. beautiful views and great for biking, walking, running, or atv/snowmobiling.

Downeast Sunrise Trail
Bring your ATV or snowmobile. You have access to this trail not far from your Base Camp. get on the ATV or sled and head up the road to the trail.
Of course the trail is great for xc skiing, bicycling, walking or running too depending on the season.
