Colorado River
Head down to town and over to the boat launch to boat the river.
Large BLM area popular with OHV's, hikers, gun enthusiasts, and mountain bikers. Only downside is that is often an abused space that becomes littered easily. There is a quieter, cleaner, barely used access to this area across from the Arch Trail.

Head 45 minutes over to Glenwood Springs for a bigger town with more shopping. It also features two hot springs and a vapor cave. Hanging lake is also a popular hike but you'll need to book hiking/shuttle tickets in advance.
