A 10 minute drive from the house is our local store where you can find just about everything you need from fresh produce, food, toiletries, flip flops, etc. It's a little pricey, but convenient. For a large food shopping, drive to Oakhurst for Vons, Raley's , restaurants, etc.

It’s famed for its giant, ancient sequoia trees, and for Tunnel View, the iconic vista of towering Bridalveil Fall and the granite cliffs of El Capitan and Half Dome. In Yosemite Village are shops, restaurants, lodging, the Yosemite Museum and the Ansel Adams Gallery, with prints of the photographer’s renowned black-and-white landscapes of the area.
If you have time, it's an absolute must!

The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from March until November. Coarsegold is a historic gold mining town, with its first gold discovered in 1849. It's tiny, quaint and peppered with little shops and antique stores. It's a great starting place for your Yosemite destination, and a destination in and of itself.
It's also home to Chukchansi Casino with its wide variety of restaurants and entertainment.
