Sightseeing
The best couples day trip around. Unbelievable views and amazing soaking pools. 1hr round trip, semi-difficult hike but it is open year round. Definitely 100% worth the trek.

This is the Heart of Idaho Falls. Beautiful walking trail around the falls and river surrounded by the best local downtown shops and dining. Lots of activities in the summer with a Farmers market on Saturdays with food trucks and ping pong tables. Ask the front desk at the Rec Center across the street for paddles. The friendship garden south of the Broadway bridge is fun to explore.

Lots of activities in the summer with a Farmers market on Saturdays with food trucks and ping pong tables. Ask the front desk at the Rec Center across the street for paddles. The friendship garden south of the Broadway bridge is fun to explore.
We recommend leaving early in the morning to get the most out of your trip to Yellowstone National Park.
There are so many sites to see! Try to maximize your time there by planning the sites you want to see before you get into the park. Take your time and have fun. :)

Be sure to plan your visit if you go here. It's super cool to see in person and hike on the walking trails, but you want to check the weather before heading there.

Best Local Parks
Great place to place to take kids, play horseshoes or tennis or go to Funland amusement park and putt putt course. Perfect to ride bikes with multiple playgrounds, the Idaho Falls Zoo and skate park. Ice skate available in the winter. Good place to go cross country skiing too.

Huge park and one of the only places in town with a sandy beach on the snake river. Great playgrounds and a disc golf course. Fun little stream runs through for kids to explore.
Named after my Great Grandpa Russ Freeman. This area was where his greenhouse was when he was the city’s biologist in the 20s and 30s and later a city councilman. Russ planted many of the trees around the greenbelt and local parks and golf courses himself.

Named after my Great Grandpa Russ Freeman. This area was where his greenhouse was when he was the city’s biologist in the 20s and 30s and later a city councilman. Russ planted many of the trees around the greenbelt and local parks and golf courses himself.
This park is about 10-15 minutes away from our home, West of town, but has a splash pad that the kids love! :)
