You are on a budget but you don't want to renounce to quality. You will feel at home, as if your mother or grandma are cooking for you: risotto allo zafferano, pasta al ragù, cotoletta, scaloppine, involtini, tartare, bistecca, salsicce ai ferri, fiori di zucca ripieni and many other traditional recipes from northern Italy. Open at lunch (12-14) and dinner (from 21:03 yes...03!) be on time at weekends for dinner because it's always packed and they don't accept reservations: first-come first-served.

One of my favourite spots on the Naviglio Grande. Great substance for the price paid. Traditional milanese (cotoletta, risotto, ossobuco are the masterpieces) with some excursions in the fish cuisine also very valid.
All is well prepared and presented, the ambiance is elegant and not pretentious, relaxing.

6 Alzaia Naviglio GrandeOne of my favourite spots on the Naviglio Grande. Great substance for the price paid. Traditional milanese (cotoletta, risotto, ossobuco are the masterpieces) with some excursions in the fish cuisine also very valid.
All is well prepared and presented, the ambiance is elegant and not pretentious, relaxing.
A must if you re a fan of pasta, huge portions of delicious “primi piatti”.
