This is definitely the best fish and chip shop in Coolangatta/Tweed. Right on the river. Fresh, fresh, fresh and so popular. They also sell fish for you to cook at home. Grab a meal, cross the road and watch the pelicans on the river.

There's a high ropes course for those who like a challenge and a kiddie train for the more gentle at heart. It's a 5-minute drive away.

For those who like shopping, it's the place to visit on the Gold Coast. Had enough? Jump the light rail to Southport - it's a pretty good sightseeing journey or pop across to Jupiters Casino for lunch. I can definitely vouch for the restaurants there, they are great! And the beach is only a few minutes walk wherever you go.

We love Aldi but if you prefer a bigger choice, there's a Woolworths on the next level up in the Showcase at the Beach shopping centre. It's a few minutes walk.
