This is the lake that we overlook. It has a small little park with a "beach". You can connect with some organized SUP yoga classes at the beach. Great for a jump in the lake, picnic with a frisbee or just a walk. It has a great play structure for small kids too. Walk past the beach and park, around the "back" of the lake and you'll find some jumping rocks that locals use to cool off and have some fun.

Alpha Lake Park
This is the lake that we overlook. It has a small little park with a "beach". You can connect with some organized SUP yoga classes at the beach. Walk past the beach and park, around the "back" of the lake and you'll find some jumping rocks that locals use to cool off and have some fun.
A 15min drive from Sundance.The site of Olympic biathlon, cross country and ski jumping. In winter - you can still do all of the above.... biathlon does a great "learn-to"! There is great snow shoeing in the area also. Rentals for all of these sports (except ski jumping!!!) available. Recommend a family getting snow-shoes and a map to go to Alexander Falls. Super doable (short hike) with 8+ year olds.... and fun for just adult groups too.

There is great snow shoeing in the area also. Rentals for all of these sports (except ski jumping!!!) available. Recommend a family getting snow-shoes and a map to go to Alexander Falls. Summer - Once you drive to this trail head - I've hiked there, and the long dusty road in makes it not at all worth it! - you've got 6km to get to the end of the trail which is mid-way along this gorgeous mountain lake. Pack a lunch, prepare for a cold and amazing swim....
Park trail head right at Hwy-99 and the Function Junction/Cheakamus intersection (or drive the 3km up ) Walk up the trail - Riverside or Farside trail; both are 2k to a suspension bridge beside the river, cross the river on a suspension bridge and ...either walk back down or go a little further (1k)up to Loggers lake trail head / "parking". From here it's only 5min further. No real beach, but lots of rocks to leap from into this great little lake.
