We are boat people so we spend the entire day out on the lake. There are so many places to explore for fishing and sandbars for swimming. There are approximately 8 bars accessible by boat so you can always find a cold drink and a snack. There are also two bike trails not far - the Hiawatha and the Bearskin. Many people like to take a day to go in to Minocqua to sightsee, etc. On Lakewood's grounds there is a basketball 1/2 court (nothing fancy) and a volleyball net if you want to bring a ball along.
