If you walk along the Ringstraße you will see the University of Vienna, the city hall, parliament, Hofburg, the Volksgarten, Heldenplatz, Stadtpark, etc. So it's definitely worth doing that round and see all the historical buildings, nice cafés and bars and glamorously looking locations.
