You will find reasonable prices and a friendly face as the service is top drawer. Almost next door to Woolworths in the Lifestyle on Kloof Centre, so try to buy the deli from here and the fresh from Woolworths and you can't go wrong. Free 30min parking if you shop at Woolworths as well.

This is a relatively safe path given that it is frequented by many but you are on a mountain so do take care with wind, wet, slippery rocks and do not take valuables other than a cellphone. The views are stunning and its only approx 45 min to the top mostly on walkable paths, but near the top you have the option of a few chains or going further around a circular path and eventually scrambling over rocks. So you need good shoes with tread and water! Well worth the effort.

You can't come to Cape Town without seeing our #1 tourist attraction. If you have energy and good legs, then a walk up Platteklip Gorge (easiest route, with steps) is a good way up. Catch the cableway down! Weather can change quickly, so my advice is try to do this right away on a good weather day on arrival so as not to be disappointed. A fabulous idea is to go in the late afternoon with a packed picnic (wine is allowed) and enjoy the sunset and watch the city lights come on. In summer the last cableway down is quite late. Consult the website for exact times.
