A well known ski jump stadium and museum. You get a spectacular view over Oslo from this spot. It is easy to get to this destination by sub way or car. This is a must for most tourists in Oslo.

This a shopping street in the city center. It starts next to the central station and ends up next to the Norwegian Castle. This is an expensive area, but worth a visit. You are able to take a picnic in the park of the Norwegian castle and go further up to Majorstuen, along Bogstadveien (if you still have money left on your trip ). I can recommand the restaurants Olivia, Lorris or Delicatessen in this area. The food is good and not too pricy.

Karl Johans gateThis a shopping street in the city center. It starts next to the central station and ends up next to the Norwegian Castle. This is an expensive area, but worth a visit. You are able to take a picnic in the park of the Norwegian castle and go further up to Majorstuen, along Bogstadveien (if you still have money left on your trip ). I can recommand the restaurants Olivia, Lorris or Delicatessen in this area. The food is good and not too pricy.

One of the beautiful islands in Oslo fjord. You have to take a ferry for 5 min to get to the island. The Island is really nice and perfect for swimming, a little walk and a picnic.. The ferry goes from the docs not far away from the Opera house every 15/30 min.

This is the river that goes through Oslo. I recommend to take a walk along this river from the city and up to Norsk teknisk museum. Along the way you pass several nice clubs, restaurants, swimming areas and parks. You do not have to walk the whole way of course. The swimming areas are best in the upper parts of the river.

A nice and a bit different museum located at Bygdøy. The museum shows how the explorer Thor Heyerdahl lived his life and escpecially how he managed to cross the Pacific Ocean on the balsawood raft Kon Tiki. Fascianating and worth a visit.
