One of my absolute favourite places to go for a meal in Raglan... make sure you never try their doughnuts, you’ll become addicted, trust me! ;) they also serve Rocket coffee, which is roasted in Hamilton.

Fish & Chips! On the Wharf! What more can I say... such a neat spot to eat a kiwi favourite and watch the bird life over the harbour and check out the stunning views towards Te Akau.

Sightseeing
Even though Bridal Veil falls is a small drive out of Raglan, it is well worth a visit! Especially after decent rainfall, the waterfall is spectacular and the bush walk is refreshing :) you will need good walking shoes as it can become slippery after rain...

If you’re a surfer, it’s guaranteed you will already know about this treasure... amazing sets of waves right in arms reach! Beautiful spot to park up for the day and watch the ocean and all its glory :)

This beach is incredible, for surf, for swimming or just pure relaxation, the views will take your breath away. Please be safe in the water, the patrolling life guards provide a wonderful service, so please feel free to ask them where they feel it’s safe to swim :)

응아루누이 비치 (Ngarunui Beach)
This beach is incredible, for surf, for swimming or just pure relaxation, the views will take your breath away. Please be safe in the water, the patrolling life guards provide a wonderful service, so please feel free to ask them where they feel it’s safe to swim :)
A beautiful walking track that you can take, which brings you out at the Wainui Reserve car park, leading down to the main beach. One of the entrances is off Wainui Road, 2 minutes drive from Whare Tatū, heading towards the main beach, you will go over a small white bridge called Dando’s Bridge, then it’s hard right, you will see a small car park. Once you find the main entrance there’s signs to show you which tracks to take and the skill level needed :)

I absolutely love popping into Tony’s workshop, there’s something special about buying ceramics from where they are crafted... his cups are wonderful for your morning coffee!

I love getting lost in here, it surprises me with every visit. If you’re needing a good book for your stay in Raglan, definitely pop into Zinnia, and walk straight down the back of the shop to their book area, it’s such a treat!

Services that you may need during your stay in Raglan
As we don’t have a washing machine at Whare Tatū, the laundromat in Raglan gives you the ability to wash and dry your clothes in under an hour, while you’re strolling through the beautiful selection of retail shops and eateries :) you can pop a load of washing on from $4 and then drying is $2 for every 10 minutes, there’s a handy coin machine for swapping notes and there’s even a soap dispenser! $2 per box, which covers you for 2 loads of washing :)
