The Breakwater Restaurant is a great place for a special occasion. Situated on a working waterfront it’s also a nice place to check out the charter boats and the day’s catch - and a sunset if you time it right. It’s about a 40 minute drive south of Makana.

Ice cream in walking distance? yes please! A village tradition with all the favorites. The lines are long but social after dinner, but good stuff inside! (Tip - easier to get in/out in the afternoon’s)

Pea Island (not a separate island actually) is a great place to take a walk on a secluded beach, hike a birding trail or explore some empty waves to surf. Be careful of parking on the soft sand if you choose to stop along highway 12.
