The best hot springs in Colorado. Picturesque along the river with great natural hot springs. This is one of my families must do's when we are in town. Not a far drive and definitely worth it. Eat at the many restaurants in Pagosa. This is a full day trip and you will not be disappointed.

Best Mexican food anywhere. Also the only fuel station on the lake. Great for takeout. Menu is in the drawer. Breakfast burritos are my family's favorites. Get some chips with Queso and Green Chili for a great treat.

Small general store but a great butcher shop for local raised beef, elk, bison. Jim and Sherry own the store. Also has a liquor store. Close to the house. Limited selection but has the must haves.

Take the train or a scenic drive to our northern neighbor town. Take a tour of the area in a guided jeep tour of the area including abandoned mines, Ghost towns. Grab a beer and lunch at the Handlebar restaurant. Part of the Alpine Loop drive.
