A very enjoyable stroll along The Esplanade, about 10 mins walk with lovely views of the harbour and out to sea, is Readymoney Cove, Fowey’s main sandy beach. Very pretty, sheltered with great rock pools at low tide and really good for a swim. Dolphins have been spotted from here!

The castle was built by Henry VIII to keep out likely invaders. It's a spectacular view from here and especially breathtaking when the Red Arrows do their flyover during Fowey Royal Regatta in August - be sure to duck!

Very pretty and fun to reach by ferry boat from Fowey. The spot to start your eastwards coastal path walk to Lantic Bay and good for grub in the pub and cafe.

Beautiful sandy beach, water sports, great pub food, Sam's cafe, watersports shop and gallery on the beach. A perfect day out and only 5 mins drive from Fowey or walk here from the cottage westwards along the gorgeous coastal path.

Wonderful food in an old Cornish pub on the beach at Polkerris. Especially good for wave watching and hot chocolate during storms!
