The Gold Coast has so many options for visitors. We have beautiful beaches and the rainforest, as well as wildlife parks and theme parks.
We may be biased, but Burleigh Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on the Gold Coast. The headland on a weekend is a very popular spot for a BBQ and a swim, with the view of the city from the beach itself. Walking along the sand, or around the headland, you could spend hours here. You can walk directly down Christine Ave 1.5km, and you are at North Burleigh Beach.

However, if the swell is relatively small, surfing the beach breaks just down the road near the end of Christine Avenue (our closest beach) is a good option with minimal crowds (unlike the typically crowded point breaks listed above).

Each night, thousands of glow worms light up the cave at Natural Bridge. A short walk from the car park, don’t forget a torch! Approximately 1 hour drive.

About a 25 minute drive from our house. Dreamtime beach is a more secluded and incredibly stunning beach which most visitors never see. One of our favourite beaches to visit when we want to avoid crowds during busy times. Take a walk up to the top of the headland for beautiful views over the Pacific and check out the old lighthouse which is still in operation.

One of our favourite beaches to visit when we want to avoid crowds during busy times. Take a walk up to the top of the headland for beautiful views over the Pacific and check out the old lighthouse which is still in operation.
Byron Bay is an internationally renowned beachside town visited by tourists from all over the world. It's about an hours drive from our house if you feel like doing a day trip somewhere outside of the Gold Coast.
