Famous for its rock formations and a great location for a picnic. Managed by the National Trust. Car Park £5 for the day, free for members.

Sightseeing
A great place for a day out with the ruins of Helmsley Castle and the walled garden easily accessible. There is a selection of gift shops, cafes and restaurants to explore including Hunters of Helmsley where you can sample homemade pies and local ice cream. The Feathers offers a traditional carvery on a Sunday. For the more energetic there is a 7 mile circular walk that takes in Rievaulx Abbey. The National Centre for Birds of Prey is also well worth a visit and is open throughout the year.
