The area has housed the meat industry for many decades and consists of Den Hvide, Den Grå and Den Brune Kødby according to the color of the buildings.

Kronborg sits as a prominent flagship overlooking the Øresund, and in the charming, cobbled streets you can feel that you are in a piece of Danish history. But it doesn't all take place in the past. Elsinore is characterized by an enterprising local cultural life.
A short ferrytrip (20 minutes) takes you to Helsingborg in Sweeden, and is also nice to see on a sunny day.
