The coffee is terrific. A very European style cafe with a variety of pastries and sandwiches. They just added a wine and beer line so you can start off having coffee and end up having a beer with your lunch.

This pop up Cookie place (it does serve breakfast on the weekends) has unique interesting cookies in a fun setting complete with igloos. It's mainly open Friday through Saturday 7-11 but I think they have some Thursday hours as well. It's located just across from the Salem Common.

Hawthorne was actually born on Union Street and the house used to be located where there is a parking lot now. They moved the house to be near the House of Seven Gables.
