Boulders beach, near Simonstown, is home to a colony of African Penguins. This is one of the few sites where this vulnerable bird can be observed at close range, wandering freely in a protected natural environment. This is a good day trip which you can do by train. A return train ticket is R33 and the gate fee at Boulders Beach is R65.
