“The "mountain" of zurich. It`s a 45min walk up. Easy terrain. Up there you have an amazing view over zurich, the lake and into the swiss mountains. Have some icecream in the restaurant up there :) There is also a train going up there departing from the main station every 30 minutes. ”
“Doesn't everybody remember this street from the old Monopoly game? Watches, jewelry and designer labels are sold in expensive stores on Bahnhofstrasse leading from the main central train station HB to the lake of Zürich. Worth a stroll. You can step onto a tram 3 x along the way if you are too tired to walk. ”
“Swimming-spot at the river. Very crowded on summer-weekends. Mostly young people. Walk up towards the lake and let yourself float with the current. Current is not so strong, also okay for not so confident swimmers. Most of the time there is also a slack-line at the next bridge upwards the stream. Water is always a bit colder than the lake. There is also a little bar and the offer fast-food. Sometimes DJs in the evening.”
“Moroccan cuisine served on the down-low – literally. Guests are seated on traditional Moroccan poufs around low tray-topped tables in Moroccan-tiled rooms. Menu offers Mediterranean and Moroccan specialties including mezze, couscous, tagine and hummus as well as many vegetarian options.”
“Zurich's Famous Landmark. One of the four major churches in the city (the others being the Fraumünster, Predigerkirche and St. Peterskirche). Construction of the present structure commenced around 1100 and it was inaugurated around 1220.”
“Want to buy your sausage by the meter? Zeughauskeller is a restaurant in the old armory, just off Bahnhofstrasse. A beer and hearty food place which is definitely aimed at tourists, but all the tourists i've taken there have liked it a lot. I do too.”
