“Canada Place typically offers fun family-friendly experiences depending on the season! If nothing is going on, it is still a wonderful walk around the build and along the seaside!”

“Go for a walk down the water walkway at the old Canada Place building for amazing views of the city, ocean, and the mountains. This building looks like it has white sails on its roof. Can't miss it.”

“From our house, it's only a 7 minute walk to the bus stops. On Montroyal Blvd, walk west to Bus Stop 54528 to catch the Highland 246 bus to downtown Vancouver or Edgemont Village. If you cross Montroyal Blvd, walk east to Bus Stop 54498 to catch the Highland 246 bus to Lonsdale Quay, and then you can also get the seabus over to downtown Vancouver. ”

“MEC offers some of the best outdoor gear and clothing in the city. Offering lifetime warranties of almost all of their MEC brand products MEC is a great place to stock up on winter clothes, ski/snowboard gear, bikes, camping and rock climbing gear as well as kayaks and much more. Anything to do with the outdoors, you should be able to find at MEC. Note this store is not within walking distance of our suite. Public transit or driving would be the best options to get there. ”

“I think Yes Cycle has better prices, check before renting. Conveniently located at the entrance to the world famous Stanley Park, Spokes Bicycle Rentals has been serving Vancouver locals and tourists since 1938. With the largest selection of the newest bicycles, knowledgeable staff and complimentary use of helmets and locks, seeing Stanley Park and the rest of Vancouver couldn’t be easier.”

“After you're done at Stanley Park, drive over the Lions Gate Bridge over to West Vancouver to check out Vancouver's north shore. A lush geographical area that exemplifies one of the reasons people come to travel or settle in Vancouver. The suspension bridge crosses the first narrows of Burrard Inlet, and the view is just beautiful on a sunny day. The term "Lions Gate" refers to The Lions, a pair of mountain peaks north of Vancouver. ”

“Vancouver is bike friendly and there are many places to rent bikes for extended periods. I don't a singular recommendation except that if you're here in the sunny season, bikes won't go amiss. You can download the bike path map from the city of Vancouver or just use google.”

“Walk to the dingy dock at the Plaza of Nations (8 min) and catch a boat ride over to Granville Island! It is great to walk around the market, get a coffee from JJ Bean (our favourite) and check out all the neat shops. There is also a improv comedy sometimes. Check it out online for more info! Note: the market can be quite busy on the weekend! Go early at opening to avoid so many people :)”
