“The Hama-rikyu Gardens are built around the a central pond. In the middle of the pond is a teahouse, where you can sit down to enjoy a cup of matcha tea throughout the year. The garden's pond is connected to the sea, and water flows in and out with the tide, meaning the park is in a permanent state of flux. Throughout the park there are a number of plum and cherry trees, which blossom throughout spring. You can see autumn foliage from the end of October, peaking in early to mid-November. ”

“Shiba Park / 芝公園 Surrounding the Zojoji Temple in a ring shape, Shiba Park is the oldest parks n Japan. It gives you the perfect view of Tokyo Tower. Originally part of the Zojoji Temple, a family temple of the Tokugawa Lesyasu, Shiba Park separated after the war due to the separation of government and religion. The park has large trees of cherry blossom, zelkova, ginkgo, camphor, and others grown around the pond that gives beautiful sceneries in spring and autumn. Momijidani, autumn leaf valley, is famous for its artificial 10 meter high water fall.”

“kebukuro West Gate Park (Ikebukuro Nishi-guchi Kōen), across from the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Space, with a plaza and fountain, is immortalized in popular fiction as the hangout of young working class heroes, molls, and punks. It began with an urban mystery novel series called Ikebukuro West Gate Park, which was turned into a TV and manga comic series. But be assured: it's a work of fiction playing on the area's somewhat gritty reputation, and not based on its actual present state. Visit Ikebukuro Nishiguchi Park on a weekend and, more often than not, you'll encounter a colorful festival or some other buoyant outdoor social event in full swing. Ikebukuro does, however, thrive on fiction in a very modern, Japanese form - that of manga and animation ("anime"). The northern end of the east side of Ikebukuro station, near Sunshine 60 Dori Avenue, is full of stores dealing in kawaii ("cute") popular comic and anime character goods, which are especially popular with girls.”
