공원
“Trees are the big attraction at this park, and for good reason: it started life as the Meguro Experimental Nursery in 1900 (later the Forestry Research Station) before becoming a public park in the late ’80s. The park’s handsome crop of trees includes towering zelkovas, poplars and camphors, as well as some unusual and foreign species. It also attracts a number of wild birds so ornithologists can put their binoculars to good use, and if you have the kids in tow there are several playgrounds for them to swing about on, as well as a splashing pond to cool off in during the summer months. Just beware the mosquitos…”

Lodging
“It's Hilton Hotel in Odaiba.Just across the Rainbow Bridge from Shinbashi, this Odaiba hotel gives off the ambience of a resort. Placed on the waterfront, the balconies give the sense of being on a boat at full sail (many of which can actually be seen on the water). The location also affords views of Tokyo Bay and Rainbow Bridge, as well as private shuttle buses to Tokyo Disney Resort. Re-opened by the Hilton group in autumn 2015, the hotel has had a full makeover, raising standards across the board both in the guest rooms and the public areas.”

“During the early part of the Edo Period, this location is said to have served as a subsidiary mansion of Okubo Hikozaemon, a close confident of Tokugawa Ieyasu, and has been carefully preserved as a Japanese garden that harmonizes with nature. In 1950 it was designated as a "spot which is beautiful viewed from any angle." Today it is famed as a venue where over 2,000 marriages are conducted yearly, and its restaurants and banquet facilities welcome both Japanese and foreign guests.”

“Donki is a discount shop, but not like any other discount shops. They have almost everything you need, from a sewing needle to local snacks to wagyu slice for your dinner. They made great stride and to match this shop to this neighborhood, a thumb up for the teams. Merely walking in the shop is quite entertaining, you will find. ”

“On Rysenji’s grounds, the famous Meguro Fudo-myo-o (Black Eyed Fudo-Myo-o) statue stands guard, and it’s from this sentinel that the ward takes its name. This was one of five such statues placed protectively around Edo’s borders nearly 400 years ago, each with eyes of a different color. Fudo Myo-o is a revered guardian deity of the Buddhist faith.
