“Since its construction for the 1962 World’s Fair, the Space Needle has become both an internationally recognized icon and Seattle’s most popular attraction. Distance - 3.8 miles”
“This is hands down one of the coolest places in Seattle! You'll find insane views of downtown Seattle and Lake Union. This place is unique with it's gasworks turned massive art installation. There are big, grassy fields for picnicing or tossing a football around. Stand on Kite Hill and snap some priceless photos - but bring a coat, they call it Kite Hill for a reason!”
“You can bike, drive or walk here. Check out Miri's food at the brick house in the park. You can walk the beach, sail, hike the hills, play volley ball and BBQ here. Great place to watch the sun set.”
“Make this park the starting point for walking along the waterfront (in either direction). Stunning views and kitschy waterfront activities (The Great Wheel, Ye Old Curiosity Shop). Fish and chips at Ivars is great for lunch (sit outside). For sit down touristy restaurant I recommend Anthony's Bell Street Diner. It's cheaper than the other tourist spots and more relaxed. ”
“Iconic beach in West Seattle with panoramic views of the city and the Olympic range. Sandy beaches in this spot with Volleyball nets and a great selection of restaurants and beach bars just across the street. Get a fire pit going with an evening picnic to get the real PNW look and feel. ”
“There are loads of attractions at the Seattle Center. Run through the International Fountain, Museum of Pop Culture, Chihuly Glass Museum (go at night), The Armory Food Court, The Space Needle and more. Take the Monorail from Westlake in Downtown Seattle and try to get the seat in the very front!”
