Metropolitan City of Rome의 대중교통

Lake
“This is the second largest lake in the Lazio region and it has plenty of 'beaches' around the water's edge so you can relax and enjoy swimming in the vast lake, which supplies water to the Rome region. There are also lots of nice place to eat and a host of water sports on offer too. You can choose a private beach where you pay for a sunbed and parasol or a public beach where you take you can simply chill out on your beach towel. The lake is about a 45 minute drive from the property. ”

“Square that takes its name from the Iberian embassy there. It is known above all for the surreal and enchanting beauty of the staircase that dominates its scene, that of Trinità dei Monti. At the center of the square "la barcaccia" the small but enchanting masterpiece of Baroque art by Gianlorenzo Bernini.”

“Designed by controversial architect Zaha Hadid, the MAXXI is an unconventional space both inside and out. This striking building is composed of giant intersecting concrete segments that seem severe from the outside, but inside create flowing pathways that gently transport the visitor through this modern, open-plan space. The MAXXI hosts thought-provoking and colorful exhibitions from the modern art world.”

“Ok, we're still getting over the idea that Francesco Totti will not be playing for AS Roma anymore, but - if you like the atmosphere of a raucous and inflamed stadium - it's worth dropping by on match day to watch the gladiators in action.”

“The absolute highlight of the route through the Vatican museums is a visit to the Sistine Chapel (Capella Sistina). The name is derived from the founder of the chapel, pope Sixtus IV. The impressive ceiling of this 15th-century Sistine Chapel was painted in the 16th century by Michelangelo. It portrays the story of creation, the great flood and other scenes. The side walls are equally beautiful with paintings of the life of Jesus made by Ghirlandaio, Botticelli, Perugino, Pinturicchio and others. The wall behind the alter shows Michelangelo's painting of the ‘Last Judgement’. The Sistine Chapel is mostly known for being the space where the cardinals meet for conclave when electing a new pope. When a new pope is being elected, smoke comes from the chapel's chimney twice a day. White smoke means a new pope has been elected, while black smoke means the cardinals were not yet successful in their mission. ”

“Called Altare della Patria. The monument was erected following WWI in honor of those who lost their lives in battle. It is noteworthy, not for its beauty but for its grand scale. In 1911 Giuseppe Sacconi designed the monument but completed by several sculptures and architects including Leonardo Bistolfi, Angelo Zanelli, Manfredo and Pio Piacentini. It was only inaugurated in 1935. The monument is named after the first king of unified Italy. The structure is made of marble, there are sweeping stairways on either side of an intricately carved pedestal which holds an equestrian statue of Victor Emmanuel. The stairs lead up to a semi-circle of Corinthian columns which resembles a Roman temple. On either side of the roof of the semi-circular structure are quadrigas statues of the Goddess Victoria. Visitors can take an elevator to the Terrace of the Quadrigas to get brilliant views of the city. ”
