“Great trails and history. Used to be a civil war POW camp. There are signs around the island telling about the history. Access either via buttermilk trail or the pedestrian footbridge by parking near Tredegar.”
“Boutique shopping with so many fun stores! Super cool thrift stores and fancy boutiques all mixed in. There are game shops, and great places to eat. Grab a frozen yogurt at Sweet Frog or some sushi at Carytown Sushi.”
“The Byrd is a true gem! It is one of the few remaining movie palaces. On Saturday's an organ player, plays the introduction music. The tickets are cheap, and the experiences is wonderful. ”
“Amazing Views of the James River in a Historic Cemetery. Several Presidents are buried here. See if you can find out who they are and where they have been laid to rest...”
“Its worth the drive to churchhill-- check the overlook in nearby libby hill park after getting tea and coffee and fresh baked sweet and savory items-- all made on site-- in a big old brick oven-- from sourdough base”
“The original location of this Richmond favorite is located in a repurposed gas station, across the street from a few cute clothing and vintage shops. Great coffee and a diverse menu of sandwiches. Definitely a hipster magnet and quite a scene--good people watching and lots of outdoor seating. For quieter workspace (but no menu), check out the Summit Street location in Scott's Addition; the Morris Street location near VCU has more indoor seating and a full menu.”
